Tamar Platform Update

In coordination with the relevant Israeli regulatory bodies and in accordance with all relevant regulatory permits, Chevron Mediterranean Limited plans to undergo scheduled maintenance work at its Tamar Production Platform offshore Israel and Ashdod Onshore Terminal, commencing October 12, 2022.

To perform the turnaround safely, the Tamar Production Platform will be shut-in, and any residual natural gas depressurized through the flare system in a controlled process.

The current turnaround is scheduled only for the Tamar Production Platform and the Ashdod Onshore Terminal.  We will continue to produce natural gas and supply customers in Israel and in the region from the Leviathan reservoir.

To perform the turnaround safely, the Tamar Production Platform will be shut-in, and any residual natural gas depressurized through the flare system in a controlled process.

This flaring does not pose an environmental or health risk to the community and is an industry standard used to relieve pressure and help keep our equipment and plants operating safely.
